Why should you get a community library?

We all know about the magic of reading so why aren’t we promoting it at work? Our goal is to get as many people reading for their mental health as possible. Work with us to find a library solution for your workplace and help kickstart a great way to reduce stress, promote curiosity, resilience and a culture of self development.

How the Community library Works!

Each library is unique, we will try our best to work with you on the library that works best for you!

Request a community library

Every month the charity attempts to build two community libraries. Through our partnership with Booktopia we are able to get the best books heavily reduced in price.

Talk to the team

Our dedicated book volunteers will email you and confirm the details of your request. If you are a government department funding may be available to speed up your request.

Confirm receipt date

Due to a large amount of orders our team are consistently over run and attempting to get back to as many people as possible. Please be patient and know that we are a charity of volunteers.

Fundraise!

Whilst you are waiting for your library feel free to start the excitement at work for your library. Hosting fundraisers for the charity enables us to move even faster as we send out books across the country.

Photo and Reading time!

Make sure you grab a happy snap of your library and start promoting the library in your workplace. This is the best way to get more and more people getting involved and starting a great culture of reading and professional development at work!

If you have any questions about the process our team will talk it out with you. A lot of the time the charity will fund the community library but due to limited funding we try to work with everyone to find a great solution somewhere between the pages

Cost and Access

Participation in the ABF Community library program is supported by funding from the Charities fundraising.

Where requests for community libraries can be supported by organisation funding, mental health funding, fundraising or grants these will take priority over charity funds.
